Material and Care
Region and breed
High Atlas and Middle Atlas, Morocco
Timahdite sheep, valued for a fine, dense, and durable fiber
Fiber characteristics
100% highland wool
Fiber diameter: 28–32 microns.
Compact crimp and thermal stability shaped by the high-altitude climate.
High lanolin content for natural resistance to dirt and moisture, supporting longevity.
Rich colour depth: slightly irregular fiber structure creates nuanced, layered tones.
Our wool selection and processing
A curated selection of undyed natural wool (Siroua) and premium dyed shades from Timahdite wool.
Each batch is inspected, washed, carded, and spun. We continuously refine our wool composition to ensure best-in-class quality.
Craft and traceability
MRIRT oversees the full process, from raw fiber to finished rug, working closely with local partners and master weavers in M’rirt, Morocco and the region.
