Our Wool: Beni-Guil & Siroua

Pure new wool is the foundation of MRIRT. We source two time-tested Atlas qualities whose character defines how a rug looks, feels, and ages. Each serves a clear purpose in our collection.

Beni-Guil Wool

Origin: Eastern Morocco, on the Oriental plateau around Figuig/Bouarfa.
Chosen for its robust, even fiber and excellent dye affinity, Beni-Guil delivers saturated, long-lasting colour with a calm, uniform field. When you see a precise, colour-true solid in a MRIRT rug, it is usually Beni-Guil—stable in structure, clear in tone, and made to endure daily use without losing its definition.

Siroua Wool

Origin: The Siroua massif between the High and Anti-Atlas (around Taliouine).
Known for its soft hand and naturally shifting light–dark shades, Siroua excels undyed. It brings a quiet depth to minimal interiors: subtle, mineral nuances; a warm, tactile surface; elegance without overt contrast. When material authenticity is the brief, we reach for Siroua.
